Membership
The Shire Horse Society Australia Inc aims to promote and encourage the magnificent Shire Horse in Australia.
New members are very welcome and all members receive regular newsletters, by a choice of either email or hard copy (extra fees apply for hard copy) and have on-line access to The Australian Shire Horse Stud Book. All members are invited, also, to attend our social gatherings, seminars and meetings.
In addition, all members have access to members’ only information and features on our website, including the ability to advertise (for free) horses for sale, stallion services, or any other horse related or unrelated items. Members can also create their own stud page within the SHSA website for promoting any aspect of their stud’s operations to both other members and the general viewing public.
Membership Categories
The Society has Ordinary Membership for those who own a Shire Horse and Associate Membership for those who plan to own a Shire Horse in the future, or are just interested in the breed.
Membership fees are very reasonable at $40 for Ordinary and Associate Members and just $10 for Junior Members. We look forward to meeting you as a new member.
N.B. Access to The Australian Shire Horse Stud Book is only open to Ordinary Members of The Society.
SHSA Code of Conduct
Our Society works hard to ensure that we enjoy a positive and encouraging culture which actively promotes the wonderful Shire Horse. As such, we have developed and adopted into our constitution, a concise Code of Conduct for both members and office bearers, judges, and committee members.
